Despite ongoing uncertainties in the global business environment, Samsung C&T achieved solid sales results, driven by its diverse business portfolios and competitive strengths, continuing its growth trend from the previous year.

In 2024, Samsung C&T recorded sales of 42.1 trillion won ($28.96 billion), reflecting a 207 billion won increase, and an operating profit of 2.98 trillion won, up by 114 billion won from the previous year.

The construction division posted sales of 18.65 trillion won and an operating profit of 1.01 trillion won. Sales decreased by 3.4 percent and operating profit by 3.2 percent year-on-year due to external environmental changes.

The trading division recorded sales of 12.99 trillion won, a 2 percent decline from the previous year, while operating profit stood at 300 billion won, a 17 percent drop year-on-year. Although the global economic slowdown weakened raw material markets and impacted performance, the company mitigated the decline with gains from solar development project sales.

The fashion division saw sales of 2 trillion won and operating profit of 170 billion won, reflecting a 2 percent and 12 percent decrease, respectively, compared to 2023. Samsung C&T attributed these declines to reduced consumer spending and weather-related impacts.

On the other hand, the resort division showed improved performance, with sales of 3.9 trillion won, a 9 percent increase year-on-year, and an operating profit of 215 billion won, an 11 percent rise. Growth was driven by increased dining demand and strong results in the catering business, the company said.

"We aim to enhance the competitiveness of products and services across our business divisions and expand our value chain to improve profitability and establish a stable business foundation," said a Samsung C&T official. The company also plans to increase orders for technology-based specialized products and seek new business ventures in areas such as renewable energy.
