Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics are participating in China's largest home appliance exhibition, Appliance and Electronics World Expo 2025, held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center until Sunday. The two companies unveil home appliances tailored for the local market, alongside innovative AI-driven home experiences.
Samsung said on Thursday that it has set up a 1,512-square-meter exhibition space, showcasing various Bespoke AI appliances and connectivity scenarios under its vision of “AI for All.”
AWE is one of the world's top three consumer electronics exhibitions, alongside the US CES and Germany’s IFA. This year's event features around 1,000 participating companies and is expected to attract over 360,000 visitors.
Samsung’s lineup includes the new Bespoke AI hybrid refrigerator, equipped with a 9-inch screen, and the Bespoke AI combo washer-dryer, featuring a 7-inch display — both designed to enhance usability through AI-integrated screens.
Additionally, Samsung is introducing the kitchen fit max refrigerator, specifically designed for Chinese kitchens. It has a slim 600 mm depth yet boasts a 501-liter capacity.
Other highlights include the Bespoke washing machine, which utilizes space max technology to minimize width to 550 mm while offering a 12 kg load capacity, as well as the Bespoke air dresser clothing care system and Bespoke AI steam, an advanced floor-cleaning solution.

Meanwhile, LG Electronics has set up a 1,104-square-meter exhibition space under the theme “Affectionate Intelligence for Diverse Lifestyles,” where it presents its AI-driven home solutions.
The home appliance maker showcases LG ThinQ On, an AI home hub that interacts with users by recognizing speech, actions and environmental factors. Integrated with sensors placed throughout the home, it controls connected appliances and IoT devices, providing a seamless AI home experience.
LG has also created a dedicated space to highlight its AI core tech, which enhances key appliance components with AI capabilities. Visitors can experience AI-powered appliances such as washing machines with AI DD motors that automatically adjust washing intensity based on fabric weight and type, as well as air conditioners that analyze room conditions to optimize temperature settings.
In response to rising costs and the low-carbon trend, LG is also displaying high-efficiency premium appliances and tailored solutions for different lifestyles. The exhibition features various home setups, including the premium home for families, the brilliant home for newlyweds, the comfortable home for senior couples, and the loving pet home designed for single-person households with pets.
