More than 270 senior industry professionals from nine countries, including Korea, China, Japan and the US, discussed diverse regional and international issues, including investment opportunities amid Korea’s push for chaebol reforms and accelerating startups.

The speakers included senior representatives from CDH, Permira, Navis Capital, Macquarie, Public Officials Benefit Association, Korea Teachers Credit Union and Korea Post.

The delegation included over 100 LPs from leading institutions like the National Pension Service, Korea Investment Corporation, Government Employee Pension Service, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, Hyundai Insurance and KB Insurance.

For five years running, the AVCJ Korea Forum has become a key international event on private market investments in Korea where top GPs and LPs gather for their annual market update and meetings with their peers. Next year’s forum is scheduled to take place on Sept. 6.
