[THE INVESTOR] Kia Motors said on Dec. 15 the motor of its first high performance Stinger has made WardsAuto’s 10 Best Engines list.
The Stinger’s 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 Lambda II engine proved its power delivery, responsiveness and refinement to be among the best engines selected by WardsAuto, Kia said in a statement.
“This latest honor from WardsAuto reconfirms the Kia Stinger’s gran turismo credentials, which are the result of the superb work of our global engineering and performance development teams,” Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning at Kia Motors America, said in the statement.
Stinger has 365 horsepower and can do zero to 100 kph in 4.7 seconds, quicker than the 3.0-liter six-cylinder Porsche Panamera, the company said.
All vehicles on the list must be priced under US$63,000. The Stinger model carries a price tag of US$38,350, it said.
