[THE INVESTOR] Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering said on March 15 it has clinched a deal worth about US$370 million to build two LNG carriers for an unidentified shipping company.
The shipbuilder said it is set to deliver two carriers that can each hold 173,400 cubic meters of LNG to a shipping company in the Oceania region by the first half of 2021.
DSME declined to identify its customer.
The shipbuilder said it has received about US$1.55 billion worth of ship orders so far this year for 12 vessels.
