[THE INVESTOR] LG Electronics said on Oct. 29 that overseas consumer electronics guides have praised its OLED TVs, claiming such assessments prove that its products are well regarded in the global market.

What Hi-Fi?, a tech review magazine based in Britain, named the 55-inch and 65-inch versions of the LG OLED TV AI ThinQ -- the 55C8 and 65C8 -- as the best products in their respective size categories, the South Korean tech giant said.

“A big and beautiful TV with a vibrant picture rich in detail, this is another LG OLED we‘d be proud to own,” What Hi-Fi? said in its evaluation of LG’s 65-inch OLED model.

Another Britain-based commentator, AVForums, gave glowing remarks on LG’s B8 OLED TV, as well.

“The B8 may be the entry level in the LG OLED TV range, but it is feature packed,” AVForums said in its report. It praised the smart-TV operating system, webOS, for being “intuitive to use and extremely fast.”

US-based CNET also named the LG B8 OLED TV as one of its recommended products of the year.

“It delivers perfect black levels, superb uniformity, wide viewing angles, accurate color and a great bright-room picture,” CNET said in its evaluation.

The LG B8 OLED TV was, moreover, named among the best of the year in research carried out by Forbes and Rtings.com and released last week. They praised LG TVs for delivering perfect black through wide viewing angles.

LG said it plans to continue expanding its presence in the market through top-notch performance in its OLED TVs.
