[THE INVESTOR] LG Electronics on Nov. 7 started selling its new high-end products based on the concept of combining home appliances with furniture, seeking to penetrate deeper into the premium segment.
Last week, the Korean tech giant unveiled the LG Objet brand for the first time. The line of products is LG’s second premium brand and follows LG Signature, launched in 2016.
The tech giant said LG Objet is a new concept of convergence appliances that bring electronics and furniture together, claiming the products will not only function as electronic devices but as home decor too.
The company unveiled the first batch of LG Objet products, namely a refrigerator, air purifier, audio system and TV. The appliances are custom-made and take around three weeks to produce.
“With the success of the LG Signature brand, we plan to continue releasing more innovative products to bolster our reputation in the home appliances industry,” an LG official said.
