The continued popularity of online computer games such as “Dungeon & Fighter” and “Maple Story,” coupled with new mobile games such as “Maple Story M” in the global market, contributed to the results, the company said.
Revenue from overseas markets came to 1.78 trillion won, 71 percent of the total, in 2018, compared with 59 percent in 2016 and 66 percent in 2017.
It was earlier reported that Kim Jung-ju, the founder of Nexon, would sell a controlling stake in the firm’s holding company NXC, which is held by him and his wife, as well as related companies.
