Korean carrier LG Uplus said on Feb. 27 it will collaborate with cloud gaming pioneer Hatch to deliver an unrivaled game-streaming experience on 5G smartphones.

Gamers on LG Uplus 5G will be the first in Korea to experience Hatch’s mobile cloud gaming service when the mobile operator launches 5G service next month.

Hatch is a cloud gaming service first launched in Finland and other European countries by a unit under Rovio Entertainment Oyj, the maker of the Angry Birds mobile games.

It is a subscription service offering premium games without any in-game purchases, limits or paywalls beyond the flat monthly fee.

The next-generation cellular technology will bring faster speeds and greater reliability, allowing games on Hatch to be played instantly over the internet with no downloads or updates necessary, LG Uplus said.
