JPMorgan Chase CEO and Chairman Jamie Dimon reportedly met with the heads of the nation’s top four financial groups and Bank of Korea Gov. Rhee Chang-yong in Seoul during his two-day visit to Korea in five years, according to industry sources on Tuesday.

Upon his arrival at a Seoul hotel on Monday, he met with the nation’s financial leaders, including Shinhan Financial Group Chairman Jin Ok-dong, Hana Financial Group Chairman Ham Young-joo, Woori Financial Group Chairman Lim Jong-ryong, Nonghyup Financial Group Chairman Lee Seok-joon and Korea Investment Corporation President Jin Seung-ho.

They discussed diverse investment opportunities, macroeconomic issues and possible partnerships, but the meeting lasted less than an hour for in-depth discussions, sources said.

Later in the day, the Wall Street mogul also visited the Bank of Korea office in central Seoul to pay a visit to Gov. Lee, then he met with staffers at JPMorgan Seoul.

He was visiting Korea after a week-long business trip to Asian countries, including China, Taiwan and Japan.

Speculation grew about his possible meet-up with Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong, considering they have maintained close ties. But both Samsung and JPMorgan declined to confirm the possibility.

Dimon left Seoul later in the day.
