[THE INVESTOR] NCSoft announced on Oct. 5 that it has signed an agreement with China’s Alpha Group for distribution and service of its mobile game “Lineage Red Knights” in China. The contract amount is worth US$10 million.

The mobile game is based on “Lineage”, a pioneering massive multiplayer online role-playing game that made NCSoft the largest South Korean game developer since it was introduced in 1998.

The gaming giant will not only publish the mobile version of its flagship product but also take advantage of Alpha Group’s strength in character and media businesses, so that they can expand into collaborating on animations, cartoons and toys. 

“Lineage Red Knights” will be unveiled in South Korea by the end of this year and the release date in China will be determined later.
