Kia Soul EV sales top 20,000 units
[THE INVESTOR] The Kia Soul electric vehicles has sold about 20,000 units globally since its launch in 2014, the company announced on Nov. 28.
As of end-October, 19,968 units of the small SUV electric car have been sold worldwide, making it the most sold environmentally friendly vehicle among South Korean cars.
Meanwhile, Kia Motors said the Soul EV also became the best-selling electric car in Germany last month.
In October, 372 units of the Kia Soul EV were sold in Germany, followed by the BMW i3 with 274 units and the Audi A3 e-tron with 266 units sold.
In the January-October period, however, the Kia Soul EV sold 1,229 units in the European country, while the Renault Zoe supermini electric car sold 2,262 units to become the best-selling EV car so far, according to Kia.
