[THE INVESTOR] James Kim, president of GM Korea, was reelected chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea for the fourth consecutive year, the organization announced on Dec. 5.
Kim, who had served as country manager of Microsoft Korea, became GM Korea’s chief last year. He is the first Korean-American to serve as the AMCHAM chairman.
“Despite many uncertainties we are facing today with the transition of Donald Trump in the US and the spread of protectionism around the world, AMCHAM will continue to act as an active cheerleader to promote a win-win partnership between Korea and the US,” Kim said in a release.
“I am confident that AMCHAM is in an excellent position to help our member companies navigate in this very complex and transformative era.”
