[THE INVESTOR] Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction announced on Dec. 19 that it has signed a 1.05 trillion won (US$8.88 billion) agreement with France’s ENGIE to build a power plant in Saudi Arabia.
Doosan has formed a consortium with the French energy company for the project of state-run oil company Saudi Aramco and national power utility Saudi Electricity.
Under an engineering, procurement and construction arrangement, they will provide a 1500-megawatt combined cycle power generation plant in the gas complex located 85 kilometer northwest of the port of Jubail by the end of November 2019.
