[THE INVESTOR] Photonics Trade Group, a South Korean lighting company, has clinched a 5 billion won (US$4.32 million) deal to supply light-emitting diode interior lighting to French luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton, ETnews reported on March 6. 

The firm will supply 17 kinds of LED lighting solutions to Louis Vuitton’s stores in Asia, including China, Japan, Singapore and Taiwan, becoming the fourth lighting supplier in addition to Osram, Philips and Cree. 

PTG said it plans to start production as soon as it gets safety approvals from China Compulsory Certification.

“The is a good start, and we are now planning to increase our global LED lighting market share to more than 20 percent by 2020,” Kong Anderson, CEO of PTG Group, was quoted as saying.
