[THE INVESTOR] If the rescue plan for Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering is realized, it will ease the risk for creditor banks, said Samsung Securities on March 24.

It will not be easy to predict the possibility, but if successful, creditors will be relieved from further financial support can recover the loss from debt-equity swap, according to analyst Kim Jae-woo.

This, however, means the shipbuilder remains under government supervision for the time being and is managed orthodoxly, added the analyst.

For creditor banks, there will be more pros since concerns over systemic risks and additional supply of financial liquidity can be alleviated, explained Kim.
