[THE INVESTOR] Deloitte Anjin, one of the nation’s top three accounting firms, said on May 31 it has named Lee Jung-hee, head of tax advisory business, as its new CEO.

Lee, who replaces Ham Jong-ho, will start the three-year term from June 1.

The new appointment comes after the firm was hit with a 12-month business suspension in April for its role in the accounting fraud of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering.

The new CEO built his career as a professional accountant at firms including Ahnkwon, Hana, and Anjin since 1982. He has been leading the firm’s tax advisory business since 2010.

Following the fraud scandal, Anjin has reportedly lost more than 50 key clients such as Hyundai Card and Samsung BioLogics. Ham in March declared his immediate resignation but completed his term.
