[THE INVESTOR] S-Oil Championship, the Korean refinery’s female golf competition, will kick off its three-day run on June 9 in the resort island Jeju.
Top golfers, including the world’s 10th-ranked Jang Ha-na and the 17-year-old ace amateur Seong Eun-jeon, will participate in the event that will be held at Elysian Jeju Country Club.
The prize amount is worth 900 million won (US$800,000), with the winner’s share coming in at 140 million won.
S-Oil has held the KLPGA tour under the name S-Oil Champions Invitational over the past 10 years. The company said it has renamed the annual event to mark the 11th anniversary this year.
