THE INVESTOR] Annual exports of Korean health care and cosmetics goods reached US$10.22 billion in 2016, the Ministry of Health and Welfare said on June 29.
Outbound shipments of locally produced drugs, medical equipment and cosmetics increased by 19.1 percent from the previous year, the ministry said.
The ministry said Korea witnessed an average annual export growth of 19.4 percent between 2012 and 2016.
Exports of cosmetics products surged 43.1 percent on-year, according to the latest data, followed by medical equipment that grew 7.7 percent, with drugs gaining 5.7 percent.
