[THE INVESTOR] Kolmar BNH will flourish when the Atomy range is launched overseas and exports to Southeast Asia expand, said Meritz Securities on Aug. 23.

Its second-quarter revenue rose 63.1 percent on-year to 110.6 billion won (US$97.95 million) and operating profit by 16.6 percent to 12 billion won, as it increased its stake in the pharmaceutical wholesaler subsidiary and exports of Atomy spiked, said analyst Yang Ji-hye.

The beauty and health company is planning to expand its factory for local sales in China and to establish a joint venture in China, according to the analyst.

Atomy will also release a premium range in the latter half and is expected to push back the domestic cosmetics sector that has been slow in the second half, forecast Yang, underlining its decent earnings momentum, possibility of additional overseas growth and new mergers.
