[THE INVESTOR] NAVER Labs Europe, an artificial intelligence research center under Naver, announced its latest research endeavors on Oct. 17.

Four researchers from Naver Labs Europe -- originally the Xerox Research Centre Europe -- outlined the headway they have made in the field of big data and machine learning during a gathering of Naver researchers in Seoul.

“We believe that this research announcement will serve as a good opportunity for local experts and industry officials, since Naver Labs Europe is the world’s biggest AI research organization,” said a Naver official, who declined to be named.

Naver Labs Europe, based in France, was created by Xerox in 1993. The center was the first in the world to explore a number of technologies. The primary area of research at Naver Labs Europe is machine learning.
