[THE INVESTOR] Six vehicles made by Hyundai Motor and its sister carmaker Kia Motors have received good design awards in the United States this year, the companies said on Dec. 19.

The six models are two Genesis models sold as an independent brand separately from vehicles carrying the Hyundai marque, Hyundai’s Sonata New Rise midsize sedan, Kia’s Stinger fastback sports sedan, the Niro plug-in hybrid and the Rio subcompact, the Korean carmakers said in a statement.

The models won the 2017 Good Design Award by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in the transportation category, it said.

The Genesis G90 won the award in 2015, followed by Hyundai’s Vision G coupe concept in 2016, and the six models, including the Genesis G80 Sport model and Hyundai’s SUV concept GV80, this year.
