Dongbu Daewoo biggest seller of camp car microwave in UK
[THE INVESTOR] Dongbu Daewoo Electronics said on Jan. 17 it held onto its No. 1 ranking in Britain for camping car microwave ovens for the sixth year in a row in 2017, selling some 37,000 units in the year.
The company in 2012 started selling microwave ovens in Britain that were fitted for camping cars and trailers as a strategy to gain niche markets. It sold 12,000 of them in the first year after launching two models in partnership with two local firms. Now it offers six models and has eight partners.
It has sold some 100,000 units of the products since the launch, the company said.
