[THE INVESTOR] LG Electronics said on Jan. 30 that it will add new colors to its flagship G6 and Q6 budget smartphones.

The company said it will market its G6 smartphone in Raspberry Rose, Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet starting in February to give customers three new color options to choose from.

Currently, the G6 smartphone is available in Astro Black, Ice Platinum, Mystic White, Terra Gold and Marine Blue.

Featuring a 5.7-inch screen and dual 13 mega-pixel rear-facing cameras, LG said the G6 smartphone has been enjoying rising popularity on the back of what it calls a “Full-Vision” display that comes with an 18:9 screen aspect ratio.

The G6 smartphone also earned the “MIL-STD 810G” certificate issued by Maryland Electrical Testing, by meeting tough security requirements approved by the US Department of Defense.

LG Electronics also said its Q6 budget smartphone will be available in two new colors -- Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet styles from next month.

Currently, the Q6 smartphone is available in Astro Black, Ice Platinum, Mystic White, Terra Gold and Marine Blue.

Q6 budget smartphone has a “full-vision” display with an 18:9 screen aspect ratio, as well as 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras, along with a built-in battery with a capacity of 3,000 mAh.
