[THE INVESTOR] LG Electronics said on June 18 it will release the LG Micro Inverter specially designed for solar panels at home, a move aimed at penetrating deeper into the solar power industry.
The company said the new product, the LM320KS-A2, can be easily installed as it weighs only 1 kilogram and is 31.5mm wide.
Inverters are used to convert the direct current output of solar modules into the alternating current that can be used at home.
The new product boasts an efficiency of around 95.2 percent, an improvement from the 94.3 percent of existing products, LG said.
The new inverter also supports the Bluetooth technology, allowing users to check its performance through their smartphones.
