[THE INVESTOR] S-Oil said on July 26 that its second-quarter net profit rose 143.9 percent from a year earlier.
Net profit reached 163.2 billion won (US$145 million) in the April-June period, compared with profit of 66.9 billion won a year earlier, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Sales rose 28.7 percent on-year to reach 6 trillion won in the second quarter, while the company logged an operating income of 402.6 billion won, up 243.3 percent from 117.2 billion won a year earlier.
