[THE INVESTOR] Bon Angels, Korea’s leading venture capital focusing on early-stage startups, has invested in technology education platform Inflearn, the companies said on Aug. 27.

“Inflearn is a platform that can provide high quality educational contents and students as it grows. I expect the company can achieve high social value if it enhances its achievements,” Jeon Tae-yeon, general partner at Bon Angels, said.

Founded in 2016, the startup offers online courses in programing, design, artificial intelligence and big data. It has attracted 120,000 users and has grown 330 percent on average each year, the company said.

“We plan to improve user experience and strengthen personalized course recommendations with the investment,” Lee Hyung-joo, CEO of Inflab, operator of Inflearn, said. “As the IT industry grows rapidly, it is not easy to make skilled talent grow at the same speed. We want to be a solution to this problem.”
