[THE INVESTOR] ING Life Insurance Korea has officially changed its name to Orange Life Insurance, the firm said on Sept. 3.
The adoption of the new name came ahead of the expiration of its contract with the Dutch insurer ING for the trademark rights at the end of this year.
MBK Partners which acquired the Korean unit from the Dutch firm in 2013, is now in talks with Shinhan Financial Group to sell a 59.15 percent stake in ING Life.
“While retaining the signature color of ING Life for brand recognition, the new name will symbolize our efforts for a dynamic and bright future for customers,” the company said.
