[THE INVESTOR] Hyundai Motor said on Sept. 14 it has hired a former Volkswagen brand marketing expert to enhance its corporate image.
Cornelia Schneider, 54, will join Hyundai on Sept. 17 as vice president in charge of operations of the carmaker’s global motor studios, the “space marketing” and preparations of various motor shows and other exhibitions, the company said in a statement.
In space marketing, she is expected to draw up strategies for showrooms and other places allocated for Hyundai vehicles, a spokesman said.
Hyundai Motor Group has hired dozens of renowned designers and engineers who have decades of experience at global carmakers, such as Audi, BMW and Volkswagen, since it hired Peter Schreyer in 2006, head of design at Hyundai and its affiliate Kia Motors.
