Seoul shares end higher on foreign buying

[THE INVESTOR] Seoul shares ended higher on Nov. 28 as foreigners bought tech stocks ahead of the US-China trade talks later this week. The won rose against the dollar.

The benchmark KOSPI rose 8.8 points, or 0.42 percent, to 2,108.22. Trading volume was moderate at 274.54 million shares worth 4.59 trillion won (US$3.9 billion), with decliners outnumbering gainers 418 to 401.

Foreigners and institutions bought a combined 146.9 billion won worth of stocks. Individuals sold a net 152.99 billion won worth of stocks.

The won closed at 1,126.50 won against the U.S. dollar, up 2.90 won from the previous session’s close.
