Samsung Electronics was ranked among the top consumer brands at Best Brands France 2019, the Korean tech giant said on Feb. 14.
Samsung was named No. 1 in the best product brand category, followed by French bottled water brand Cristaline, German electronics company Bosch, French disposable goods maker Bic, and American audio equipment manufacturer Bose.
In the Best Corporate Brand category, Samsung came second behind e-commerce giant Amazon, and ahead of American tech companies Google and Microsoft, and the French sports and leisure retail group Decathlon. For the golden age brand, selected by consumers aged 50 and above, Samsung was also placed No. 2 next to Bose.
Samsung has received excellent ratings in the areas of consumer confidence and product innovation, explained the ceremony’s organizer.
Its Chinese rival Huawei was awarded the Best Growth Brand of 2019, proving a high rate of satisfaction in the French market.
Launched in 2004 jointly by European advertising consulting firm Service Plan and market research institute GfK, the awards are given to the most successful brands of the year. The French edition of the ceremony, held for the second time on Feb. 11 in Neuilly, evaluated 365 brands in 27 product categories and surveyed 4,500 French consumers.
Last year, Samsung also landed atop the best product brand category, second in the best corporate brand and eighth in the best millennial brand.
