South Korea’s e-commerce marketplace startup Ticket Monster (TMON) has named its incumbent Chief Operating Officer Lee Jin-won as its new chief executive in yet another leadership reshuffle in eight months.

TMON cited Lee’s performance in sales and marketing for the promotion.

Lee joined TMON in October last year as COO and executive vice president. Formerly he worked at local e-commerce rivals WeMakePrice, Coupang and eBay Korea.

The incumbent CEO Lee Jae-hoo’s future has yet to be determined, as the company has not decided whether it would adopt a co-CEO leadership structure. He became head of TMON in October 2018.

TMON has secured $525.9 million in funding over five rounds in total, including the latest $115 million funding led by Simone Investment Managers in April 2017.
