Taipei-based startup community builder Taiwan Startup Stadium is poised to host its first startup bootcamp event in Seoul on July 25 to help international startups explore ways to enter the Korean ecosystem, it said on July 18.

The free-entry event, dubbed “Market Entry Bootcamp: Thriving in Korea’s Ecosystem” will take place at Coex. Co-sponsors of the event include the Korea International Trade Association and Orange Fab Asia.

During the event, panelists will discuss the government resources and subsidies for the Korean startup ecosystem, a foreign startup’s market penetration strategy, ways to approach Korean media, cross-border experience and fundraising environment.

TSS has held bootcamps and events in Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong and the United States.

The event is scheduled after NextRise Seoul 2019 on July 23-24, for which TSS is bringing four startups from home: wine management software developer CellWine, artificial intelligence video solution provider GilaCloud, online marketing platform MatchNow, and maker of vacuum compressor for luggage VAGO.

TSS CEO Leroy Yau will discuss the booming startup environment in Taiwan at NextRise’s country session July 24.

For TSS, the visit to Seoul will mark its fourth overseas trip this year. It previously went to Collision in Toronto, Techsauce Global Summit in Bangkok and RISE in Hong Kong.
