Ediya Coffee said Friday it was offering discounts to foreign customers through a promotion with cross-border digital payment platform Alipay+, aiming to improve payment convenience for international visitors.
Customers using Alipay+ partner payment services can receive a 20 percent discount coupon applicable to all menu items. Alipay users are eligible for discounts of up to 15 yuan ($2.20) per transaction, redeemable up to three times.
Users of Alipay+ partner e-wallets, including AlipayHK in Hong Kong, MPay in Macau, TrueMoney in Thailand, Touch 'n Go eWallet in Malaysia and GCash in the Philippines, can receive discounts of up to 5,000 won ($3.52) per transaction, redeemable up to five times.
Coupons can be downloaded through the Alipay or Alipay+ partner service applications or by scanning the QR codes displayed on promotional materials at Ediya Coffee stores. The promotion is available without additional eligibility requirements.
Ediya Coffee has been expanding its overseas payment options for foreign customers, adding WeChat Pay, UnionPay and Line Pay in October last year.
"We have continued to introduce overseas payment services and expand customer benefits so that international visitors can enjoy greater convenience at Ediya Coffee," a company official said.
"We will continue enhancing the customer satisfaction through various services that improve customer convenience."
