LS Electric said Tuesday it has signed a $138.5 million contract with US-based Bloom Energy to supply power distribution equipment for a major technology company's data center in Pennsylvania.

The latest agreement brings the South Korean manufacturer's cumulative orders from Bloom Energy to more than $500 million since April 2025, crossing the milestone in about 18 months.

Under the contract, LS Electric will supply 38-kilovolt high-voltage switchgear and distribution transformers between April and July 2027. The equipment will support an on-site fuel-cell power-generation project at the facility.

The deal comes as rising electricity demand from artificial intelligence data centers drives interest in on-site power generation. The order covers both switchgear and transformers as an integrated distribution package.

To expand its US presence, the company has established a local network covering sales, engineering, manufacturing and services, centered on its Utah facility and Bastrop Campus in Texas.

"This contract demonstrates our technical capabilities and ability to execute large-scale projects by supplying switchgear and transformers as a package to a global tech company's data center," an LS Electric official said.

"We will strengthen our strategic cooperation with Bloom Energy and expand our presence in North America's AI data centers."
